TROTT in the News |
We are so excited to announce that Hootie, Zenyatta's pony horse is now a TROTT horse! Please see the recent article written about Freddy Wilson and Hootie.
Freddy just loves Hootie, and when Zenyatta retired, Freddy wanted him to have an easier job than track pony, but said he wasn't ready to go retire in a pasture. So he donated Hootie to TROTT USA, and now Hootie is our spokeshorse to bring awareness to the wonderful ex-racehorses available for adoption. Hootie even has his own Facebook page!
He lives at our facility in Carmel, and helps the young horses get used to trails while being readied for their new training, and new career. He is adored by our trainers, and he just loves his new job.
We gave him his own Facebook page because Zenyatta's fans were asking what had happened to Hootie, and we wanted everyone to know he is safe and happy with an important job.
Guests who stay at Stonepine Estate even have the opportunity to take a trail ride on Zenyatta's pony horse! How cool is that!
Follow TROTT on Twitter to keep up with Hootie and the horses in training!

TROTT Announces our expansion to Northern California!
With the alliance of Stonepine Equestrian Center in Carmel, we will now have our quality horses in training in both San Diego County at Triumph Ranch, and on the Central Coast at Stonepine.
The historic significance of Stonepine, built by the founder and first president of the CTBA, Henry Potter Russell, is very inspiring. Its current owners, Gordon and Noel
Hentschel have continued the tradition of equestrian excellence at Stonepine, while
coming back to its roots of Thoroughbred horse racing, with TROTT.
With its illustrious racing past, its unparalleled beauty nestled amid 330 acres in Carmel
Valley, and its 5 star training facilities, this is a dream come true for TROTT.
TROTT looks forward to having events at Stonepine which will benefit our exracehorses
as they prepare for their next career.
We also want to thank Grand Prix rider and trainer, Hanna Mauritzon owner of Swede
Equine, with her help in training our SoCal horses! |

OC Pet Expo
April 16-18th TROTT partnered with Lukas at the OC Pet Expo. We also helped out at
the CARMA booth with Seabiscuit. With over 40,000 in attendance, we had a wonderful time bringing awareness to the versatility of OTTBs.

Zenyatta & Mike Smith
Due to the wonderful support of Zenyatta and her team, including jockey Mike Smith, we had very successful fund raisers and helped many horses who needed homes.
And thanks to the donation of two Zenyatta halters for our fund raising, even more horses were helped!
Check out ongoing auction items on Ebay featuring signed memorabilia.
All proceeds go to support the horses.
On January 31st TROTT will partner with Lukas, our spokeshorse, to attend the HITS show in the desert. We will bring awareness to the wonderful OTTBs available for new jobs.
