Mission Statement

TROTT (Training Racehorses Off The Track) provides at risk racehorses with opportunities for new careers beyond the track. Our racehorse adoption program gives these Thoroughbred athletes a future.

Through networking with the California racing industry, training facilities, and farms, TROTT provides at risk racehorses with opportunities for new careers beyond the track.

In working to ensure solid futures for ex-racehorses in approved non-race homes, TROTT offers R&R to retiring racehorses in need. TROTT will serve as a safety net for all track horses needing emergency placement, including pony horses, brood mares, and the unraced. View the short video below for additional information:

WHY?
TROTT believes ex-racehorses are talented athletes who need a job after their race career ends.

HOW?
Donated horses get daily hands-on R&R as volunteers ready them for adoption. Under saddle we can find the perfect match for their talents.

WHAT?

Lukas

We are so proud to have Lukas, a former OTTB, aka The World's Smartest Horse, as our TROTT spokeshorse. We will be joining Lukas at many events in 2010 to promote awareness for other OTTBs. Check out his amazing talents at PlayingWithLukas.com and to find out where he can be seen next!

Lukas has been featured on every major network, newspaper and online media outlet around the country for his talents, and he will be appearing with TROTT at many events in 2010, beginning with the Grand Prix HITS show on Jan. 31st.
