Our Facilities

Horses in training and ready for adoption, are located at beautiful Stonepine Estate outside of Monterey, California. TROTT horses get lots of trail riding time, along with arena work, jumping, and cross country, at this 5 star facility.

This gives our horses very good minds. Our specially developed feeding program keeps them healthy, and focused.

Under the guidance of head trainer, Athena Hall, and assisted by our wonderful TROTT volunteers, our horses are assessed and trained for the career that best suits them.

Pre-screened potential adopters are invited to come and meet all 10-15 horses in training at any given time. Based on your pre-adoption form, we will let you ride the ones who fit your criteria. Plan a weekend in beautiful Carmel, and come fall in love with your dream horse!

Our Lay Up Facility

TROTT horses first go to a professional racehorse lay up farm for their R&R. Here they can be assessed and rehabilitated by our partners, who have years of experience caring for racehorses. They are in a relaxed and peaceful environment, and they stay happy and healthy while they are getting ready for re-training.

Some are there for just a month or two, and others up to a year, depending on injuries. Each one is fully rehabilitated under the guidance of a racehorse vet, so we are assured they are sound, and ready for their next career.
